Sam and Max Season 1
PC (Game Tap)

Review by Michael S. Wright

I have always been a fan of the original Sam and Max games, Comic books & TV Shows. Sam and Max Season 1 is outstanding and delivers the sophisticated and Crude humor I love. This has been worth the years we have all had to wait. With six creative and entertaining episodes it will leave you with hours of comical and mind Crunching Entertainment.

Graphically I find the game very solid. Sure I have seen graphically superior games but this is just perfect for the same and max series. Tell Tale Games traded in the 2D sprites for a full clean crisp 3d Environment. Sam and Max of course look great. How ever the Soda Poppers remind me of Larry from the Leisure Suit Larry game they brought out for PS2 a couple of years ago. Overall I can't really complain about this game graphically at all.

I like to consider myself a very good abstract thinker. So I tend to eat Puzzle Role-playing Games like this for lunch, that being said I found this set of Sam and Max games so much easier than its predecessor. Maybe its my age but the original Sam and Max game was freaking confusing and hard as hell from what I remember. This game seems to be filled with hints and the like if you know how and where to look. I only got stuck a few times and one of them wasn't my fault. In Episode 4 "Abe Lincoln Must Die!!" I Got stuck for several hours over a slight glitch. I hope to not give to much away but, some how the beacon glitched and disappeared after I attached it to Abe's back. I looked it up reset the game from my last save and quickly finished it. I did find the first season a little easy but the hours of great Sam and Max action make it all worthwhile.

Overall I was very pleased with this first season. I can't wait for season 2 to come out this Fall. I recommend getting a Game Tap account and playing this game!

I give this game: A+
